Secret Walls, 7-Eleven and Blue the Great Transform the citizenM Miami Worldcenter Rooftop into a Miami Basel Live Paint Battle and Capsule Collection Launch

MIAMI, FL — Secret Walls headed back to Art Basel in Miami Beach as they teamed up with 7-Eleven® and artist Blue the Great to launch a one-of-a-kind collection blending the worlds of skate and art. Festivals attendees experienced the excitement as Blue the Great took the stage not just as a DJ, but as the visionary behind a new merchandise collaboration with 7-Eleven’s online merchandise shop, 7Collection™. For the first time ever, the world’s largest convenience retailer brought its online shop to an in-person event, adding a new layer of excitement to this highly anticipated launch.

On Thursday, December 5th, the Secret Walls launch event transformed the CitizenM Hotel Worldcenter rooftop as guests were immersed in the sights, sounds and experiences of the SK8 world, including the exclusive 7Collection merch unveiling and Blue the Great taking over the DJ booth and spinning music throughout the night.

Known for his paintings of mummified figures and debris of 21st century pop culture, Blue the Great teamed up with 7-Eleven to bring his signature character, the bandaged mummy, to the masses by blending it with skate culture elements to create a fresh, street-ready fusion. Limited-edition merch was available for guests to purchase at the event while supplies lasted and the full collection will drop on 7Collection.com beginning December 12.

7Collection is redefining collaborations and merchandise with a bold mission to foster creativity and celebrate the intersection of art, sport and community – rooted in 7-Eleven’s iconic parking lots, long-time havens for skateboarders to roll up, refuel and push the limits of creativity.

The launch event flowed into a high-energy Secret Walls live paint battle, featuring local artists Cory Van Lew and Brian Butler in a head-to-head competition. Blending skate culture with creativity, Secret Walls customized their paint battle event for a truly unique night at Miami Art Basel. With only 90 minutes to ideate and complete their piece, the teams faced off against each other in a frantic adrenaline rush energized by the cheers of the crowds. Special guest judges – and a decibel meter measuring audience reaction – helped to determine the winner of the night: Cory Van Lew.
