Here to Stay event by Star-Crossed
Los Angeles, California – Star-Crossed is organizing an event focused on uplifting immigrant voices on January 17, 2026 from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m, tentatively in downtown. All proceeds will be going to CHIRLA’s Humanitarian Department.
The event, Here to Stay, is bringing together different Latino and immigrant musicians, visual artists, poets, and vendors to raise money for people harmed by ICE. Tickets will cost $12 per person.
CHIRLA’s Humanitarian Department supports hundreds of people who have had a family member detained, oftentimes the head of the household. Out of 517 surveyed families, 54% have stated they are facing food insecurity, while 58% are facing housing insecurity due to the detainment of their provider.
Star-Crossed was born out of the desire to fight injustices and create a safe space for the community to come together. Star-Crossed’s goal is to give back to the communities we’re benefiting from and support those who are struggling during this difficult time.
The event lineup includes musical acts: Amish Swans, Zoey & The Bells Jars, Kyötö, Nia Padilla, Jay Gomez, and Chickpea; Visual artists: Czi Lucañas, Claire Bahian, Pedro Salcido, Sandra Vargas, and Nick Zaragosa. Poets: Raven Villa and Jesenia Chavez.
