Stencibility announces three international OPEN CALLS for its 2026 edition

The Stencibility Street Art Festival (Tartu, Estonia) has opened three international open calls for its 2026 edition, inviting street artists from across Europe to apply. The application deadline for all open calls is March 1, 2026.
The open calls include an 18-day Residency, the festival’s five-day Spraycation programme, and the public Street Art Jam. All three formats emphasise artistic freedom, site-specific street art, and meaningful engagement with urban space and the local community. No pre-approved sketches are required — instead, artists are trusted to create works that respect and resonate with their surroundings.
The Stencibility Residency offers two European artists the opportunity to spend more than two weeks in Tartu in the first half of June, creating site-specific works in public space while getting to know the city and its creative scene. In addition to producing artworks during the residency, resident artists will also take part in the festival week and are for the first time invited to participate in Stencibility’s street art auction and exhibition in Tallinn.
The Spraycation brings together five European street artists for a five-day summer camp during the Stencibility Festival, providing walls, materials, accommodation, and time to paint freely in the streets of Tartu. The programme prioritises artists who are actively and independently working on the streets.
The Street Art Jam, taking place on June 13, is a public live-painting event where selected artists create a collective artwork. The jam celebrates the process, and the social side of street art, welcoming both locals and visitors to follow the creation live.
Stencibility covers artist fees, travel, accommodation, and other costs depending on the specific open call.

Stencibility 2026 takes place in Tartu, Estonia, from June 11–14, 2026. Founded in 2010, Stencibility is one of the longest-running street art festivals in Europe, driven by a love for free and independent street art. Rather than focusing on large-scale murals, the festival embraces the full spectrum of street art — including stickers, stencils, paste-ups, and spontaneous interventions — keeping the city’s walls alive and constantly evolving.
