New York, NY – June 6, 2025 — Time To Be Happy Gallery, an innovative two-level art space located in the heart of Soho, will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a four-day art festival featuring over 65 ARTISTS CREATING LIVE ART. The celebration kicks off on Thursday, June 5 (4–9 PM) and continues June 6–8 (12–9 PM daily). Admission is free and open to all.

The gallery has built a reputation as a progressive institution, offering artists solo shows commission based on the main gallery level and a separate non profit artist in residency level providing the artists in reaidency resources, visibility, and a platform—without fees or commissions. Past year, Time To Be Happy Gallery hosted over 75 artists in the non-profit residency program and over 20 artist solo exhibits.

Founded by Baked by Melissa founder, artist and curator Benzi, the 4,500 sq. ft. gallery has become a standout destination in New York’s art scene with 2 level space:

1- The Art Gallery (street level)
A traditional gallery space showcasing artists’ works and exhibitions.

2- The Non-Profit Artist-In (Residency level)

For the anniversary event, over 40 artists—previous gallery residents—will transform the main gallery level into a live, open studio environment, creating new work in real time. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to engage directly with artists during their creative process. Simultaneously, 25 artists-in-residence will be working on the residency level as part of the gallery’s June residency cycle.

“The mission from day one has been to rethink the gallery experience,” said Benzi. “We aim to create a space where art is not just viewed but experienced—where artists and audiences connect in real, meaningful ways.”

Since opening, Time To Be Happy Gallery has exhibited both established and emerging artists from across traditional and digital disciplines, including names from the NFT and Web3 communities.

The gallery operates on two core principles:

• Artists-in-residence are never charged to participate.
• The gallery takes no commission on sales from residency artists.

This model reinforces the gallery’s role as a space for creation, conversation, and community.
