In the bustling Ikejiri-Ohashi neighborhood of Tokyo, a vibrant mural recently brought both color and controversy to a building belonging to JR East Social Design, a real estate company specializing in share houses. However it’s creation, and subsequent removal, brought to light the controversies of street art in conservative Japanese society.
