PichiAvo: Urban Mythology
One day, Valencians imagined a fusion of the Fallas (the most internationally renowned Valencian festival, which fills the streets with fireworks, ephemeral monuments made of paper and wood, and plenty of beer) with the talents of street artists. “Pensat i fet” (‘thought and done,’ a popular saying in Valencia), for the neighborhood called Ciutat Fallera, where the Fallas artisans have facilities to create their works that will be set ablaze on March 19, they called upon our internationally acclaimed urban artists to create one of the largest murals in Europe: PichiAvo.

The Impermanent Beauty of Escif
Escif is one of the most recognized urban artists with a long career behind him, to the extent of participating in the internationally famous Fallas or being called the “Spanish Banksy” by the press. This Valencian artist usually doesn’t sign his works on the streets, but for those of us who have lived in the city of Valencia all our lives, they are unmistakable.
